John Franklin III finally makes impact for Auburn with two TD game

John Franklin III, the former Florida State quarterback who made a brief stop at East Mississippi Community College before transferring to the Auburn Tigers, has finally made a big impact in the SEC.

The quarterback, who was one of the main characters on the Netflix original “Last Chance U,” finally found the endzone for the first time in 2016.

After the Tigers jumped out to a big lead over Louisiana-Monroe, Franklin received some reps and made the most of them.

In just three plays, Franklin totaled 121 yards and two scores.

Franklin’s first touchdown of the 2016 college football season with an incredible 80-yard touchdown run. As soon as Franklin found the opening, he was gone. Luckily, the video was captured and shared on social media.

To follow up the big touchdown run, Franklin also recorded a touchdown through the air.

On his first and only official pass attempt of the game, Franklin found Nate Craig-Myers for a 39-yard touchdown pass. Ladies and gentlemen, James Franklin III has finally arrived.

Auburn went on to win the game, 58-7, advancing their record to 3-2 on the year.

The Tigers return to action next weekend with a road trip to Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field against Mississippi State.
