Michigan football: Wolverines use 10-man I formation

Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh is not afraid of being innovative and doing things his own way.

That was once again on display Saturday afternoon during the No. 4 Wolverines’ top 10 conference clash with the No. 8 Wisconsin Badgers in Ann Arbor.

Late in the first quarter, the Wolverines were facing a second-down when Harbaugh called the most unique formation you’ll see this weekend. Michigan broke the huddle and lined up in a ten-man I formation before shifting to a more basic set and picking up the first down.

Just a few plays later, the Wolverines punched the ball into the endzone for a score to give them the early 7-0 advantage.

Harbaugh’s gonna Harbaugh.
