The Oregon football program has stumbled to a 2-3 record to start the season, but the Ducks are hoping Justin Herbert can turn things around before it gets too late.
On Tuesday, a report from Justin Hopkins of 247 Sports indicated Oregon is set to make the switch to Herbert at quarterback. The move would send graduate transfer Dakota Prukop, who has started all five games this season, to the bench.
The switch comes as Oregon head coach Mark Helfrich looks to stop the bleeding amidst a three-game losing streak.
Herbert, a 6-foot-6 true freshman from Eugene, completed three-of-five passes for 70 yards in his only action of the season last week. He added one rush for four yards and a touchdown.
If Herbert is able to put together a strong performance against the No. 5 Huskies, the future could be very bright for the Oregon program.
The Ducks and Huskies are set for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff on FOX.
