Enner Valencia is a star in the English Premier League and on the Ecuador national team. However, these two accolades are the lesser of three on his resume. His most finely tuned ability? Deadbeat father.
Valencia owes $17,000 in child support payments according to authorities in Ecuador. When Valencia returned to his home country, authorities were ready to make him pony up the dough and confronted him on the issue after an early morning training session.
¡CASI SE LO LLEVAN!

Valencia was not detained in the incident and was permitted to play in the match, which Ecuador won 3-0. However, in the waining moments, Valencia appeared to have sustained an injury. He was unable to make it off the pitch under his own power and was escorted off by a golf cart. He instructed the driver of the golf cart to take him to an ambulance that was waiting in the tunnel and was able to avoid any further interaction with the police.
The attorney that represents the mother of his child had the following to say on the matter:
“It’s lamentable that certain police officers didn’t collaborate with the detention of the footballer Enner Valencia, to ensure compliance with a judicial order. If they say this man earns so much, why doesn’t he pay (the maintenance) monthly to his daughter.“
Enner Valencia, No. 1 on the pitch, No. 0 in his daughters heart.
