Art Briles was on the field coaching this weekend with the Cleveland Browns. He worked mainly with the quarterbacks in the session open to the media and the length of his stay in Cleveland has not yet been determined.
Coach Art Briles was fired from his head coaching position at Baylor University in the wake of a sexual assault scandal involving players on the team. Briles maintains his innocence in the matter. When asked for justification on allowing Briles to guest coach, Browns coach Hue Jackson said that giving Briles a second chance was the right thing to do.
I respect #Browns HC Hue Jackson, but having Art Briles at camp is indefensible. The permissive rape culture he led at Baylor is revolting.

“I respect what you’re saying (about character) and understand that trail, but, at the same time, I think everybody deserves an opportunity to do what they do,” he added.
Several times Jackson referred to Briles as a “tremendous offensive-minded football coach”. That may not be all the Browns need to turn things around, but it certainly is one of them. Thus far, the Browns are 0-5 and have lost starting quarterback Robert Griffin III to another injury.
