Did West Virginia’s Sean Walters just make interception of the year?

Part interception, part defensive strip, all awesome. West Virginia’s Sean Walters made one of the best plays of the weekend.

Is this the best interception so far this year?

West Virginia is playing the Texas Tech Red Raiders this week and appears to be in complete control of the game to this point. They’re leading by three scores at the half and are moving the ball effectively in the air and on the ground. Wide receiver Daikiel Shorts Jr. has three receptions for 100 yards already, and quarterback Skyler Howard is averaging 12 yards per completion.

West Virginia are currently ranked 20th and have started the season 4-0, 1-0. They are yet to face the most challenging stretch of their schedule, as they still have to play Oklahoma, Texas and Baylor later this season.

Texas Tech is doing what they can to make sure the Mountaineers don’t reach those games as an unbeaten team, but if West Virginia is going to be making plays like this on defense regularly, it might be a very long game for the Red Raiders.
