Following Week 7 of college football season, the Football Writers Association of America and the National Football Foundation unveiled the updated FWAA-NFF Super 16 poll.
As you would expect, the Alabama Crimson Tide remain in the No. 1 spot as this week’s top seven remain unchanged.
The Big Ten and SEC led all leagues with four teams each, but the Big Ten had four among the top 10 teams. The ACC had three, the Big 12 two, and the Pac-12, American and Mountain West had one each.
The full poll can be seen below, with first-place votes in parenthesis.
OTHERS RECEIVING VOTES: Oklahoma (70), Arkansas (55), Utah (55), Western Michigan (17), Auburn (14), LSU (9), Navy (8), North Carolina (8), Ole Miss (6), Colorado (4), Stanford (3), Virginia Tech (3), Syracuse (1), USC (1).
Unbeaten West Virginia slipped into the poll for the first time this season at a tie for No. 12 as did Florida at No. 14. Florida State reappeared at No. 15. Ole Miss, Virginia Tech and Miami (Fla.) all dropped out after losses.
