Video: Patrick Peterson warms up in dinosaur costume

Well this certainly is a lot of fun, isn’t it? As a result of losing a bet with his teammates, Patrick Peterson warmed up for the Cardinals primetime Monday Night Football game in a dinosaur costume.

If he gets burned deep tonight, we now have an excuse why.

Again, this is not how Patrick Peterson usually warms up. After practice, the Cardinals quarterbacks had a throwing contest to see who could throw the most balls in a bucket. The loser had to warm up in a costume that was decided upon by the non-losing players.

For some reason, Patrick Peterson decided to take part in this competition. He, of course, lost.

The Cardinals were expected to be a highly competitive team this year, but they have struggled out of the gate. Maybe this is the type of camaraderie that will galvanize the team and lead them into the playoffs. Maybe it’ll be a fun little memory for an underachieving Cardinals team. Only time will tell.

The Cardinals play the Jets tonight at 8:15 on ESPN.
