‘Last Chance U’ star Ronald Ollie has a Piesman moment

If you were a fan of the Netflix hit “Last Chance U,” this weekend was the moment we’ve all been waiting for from one of the show’s stars, Ronald Ollie, who currently plays defensive line for Nicholls State.

Over the weekend, the Colonels were taking on Houston Baptist and were able to squeak out a 33-30 double-overtime win. The big game-changing play, however, came courtesy of the “Last Chance U” star as he blocked an extra point before rolling 84-yards for the score.

The play earned Ollie Southland Special Teams Player of the Week honors and should officially put him in the running for the “Piesman” Trophy. Here is Ollie’s big moment:

And for those wondering what the Piesman Award is, it’s a recent award introduced by SB Nation.

The Piesman Trophy will be awarded for the best play in which a lineman throws, catches, or runs with the ball, because those are things linemen don’t usually do. The play can come from any level of college football, from FBS to Division III.

Ollie would have our vote!
