The Arizona Wildcats will be without running back Nick Wilson…again. The exact nature of the injury wasn’t immediately disclosed, but it is apparently a different injury than the ankle injury that sidelined him earlier this year.
Coach Rich Roderiguez announced the injury Wednesday and did say that it will keep Wilson sidelined for at least two weeks; another blow to an already depleted Wildcats team that is riding a four-game losing streak.
Reinforcements are on the way, though.
Expected to return this week are quarterbacks Brandon Dawkins and Anu Solomon. They’ll be looking to jumpstart the offense against Stanford this week.
Arizona will surely miss Wilson’s presence toting the ball. He was off to quick start this year before sustaining his first injury, with 330 yards in two games and three touchdowns. He has only 14 carries since. Injuries are becoming a norm for Wilson who has left 13 of the previous 15 Wildcats games early or missed them altogether.
