Bobby Bowden will be tomahawk chopping all the way to the election booth. At the Donald Trump rally, he made it perfectly clear who he will be casting his vote for.
The move comes ahead of the election on Nov. 8.
Trump will have to win Florida if he hopes to close the gap in an election that has become one-sided in recent weeks. Clinton currently leads in Florida by about four percentage points. The logic is sound; enlist legendary Florida State football coach and ride his goodwill all the way to the White House.
However, in having Bowden speak at his rally, he just lost scores of Miami Hurricanes and Florida Gators.
This has been an election when athletes have been particularly outspoken. LeBron James recently gave a public endorsement of Hilary Clinton, while many college football coaches have publicly supported Donal Trump.
In the case of Florida State football coach Bobby Bowden, it appears his political leanings are the same as his field goals: Wide Right.
