Nick Saban praises Leonard Fournette ahead of LSU game

Nick Saban is prepping his team for a big test against LSU.

Both teams are currently on a bye week and are taking the extra time to gird their loins.

However, Nick Saban did take a moment from his feverish preparations to acknowledge the strong performance Leonard Fournette had against Ole Miss last week.

Fournette rushed for 284 yards in his return from injury last week and added three rushing touchdowns to his season total. It seems that Fournette is poised to have a strong second half of the season which will help raise his draft stock.

It may have taken a hit this season as his injuries have limited his ability to make an impact on the field.

He will have to do something he hasn’t done before, though. He will have to play at a high level against a Nick Saban defense. LSU got off to a slow start this season which led to the firing of coach Les Miles. The Tigers are 3-0 under interim coach Ed Orgeron and a win against their arch-rival could go a long way towards securing him a full time position with wearing the headset.
