Paul Finebaum: Jim Harbaugh isn’t worth $9 million

This week, it was reported that Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh is the highest-paid head coach in all of football.

While no one can argue the quick turnaround and success Harbaugh has had in Ann Arbor, you can count radio show host Paul Finebaum as one person who thinks the Wolverines leading man is overpaid.

Finebaum’s reasoning is simple: Harbaugh hasn’t won anything yet.

“Listen, he’s turned the program around. But I have to ask you this question; up until now, what has he done?” Finebaum said. “He doesn’t have what I consider to be a signature win. He hasn’t beaten his rival yet, Ohio State. He didn’t beat Michigan State last year. It’s $9 million, and quite frankly it’s a lot of money and I don’t think he’s worth it…Try winning a championship before you make that kind of money.”

Surely Michigan fans won’t take too kindly to Finebaum’s remarks.

As for Harbaugh, he’ll likely just brush them off and focus on this weekend’s rivalry matchup with Michigan State. Conveniently, a win over the Spartans would scratch one thing off of Finebaum’s to-do list for Harbaugh.

Kickoff is set for noon ET on ESPN in East Lansing.
