4-Star PF Lance Thomas commits to Louisville basketball program

The Louisville basketball team received a major addition on Sunday afternoon.

Four-star power forward Lance Thomas announced he would be joining Rick Pitino’s program in 2017.

“I want to start this off and thank god for blessing me with this opportunity and everyone who was involved in my decision making,” Thomas wrote on social media. “I’m grateful to have people around me who care and I also want to thank the schools that recruited me, I appreciate the time and opportunity you guys game me, thank you. Lastly, I want to thank my mom for everything and I love you.

“After a long and thoughtful process, I will be attending the University of Louisville.”

The Norcross, Georgia standout chose the Cardinals over offers from Florida, Miami and USC. Thomas even took an official visit to USC as recently as this past week.

According to 247 Sports, the 6-foot-10, 210-pounder is the No. 24 power forward in the nation and the No. 13 recruit in the state of Georgia.
