One of the top players in the Class of 2017 is one step closer to announcing his college decision.
On Sunday, five-star wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones took to Twitter to drop his top five schools along with a brief statement. If Peoples-Jones isn’t going to call the Big Ten home, the Michigan native appears poised for a stint in Florida.
“First, I want to thank God for blessing me with all of my abilities and opportunities,” Peoples-Jones wrote on Twitter.
“I would also like to thank each coach who has taken their time to recruit me along this process. I value the connections and relationships that I’ve encountered throughout this time. It has also been fun visiting so many new places. After praying on it, I will be moving forward with these select group of universities.”
Peoples-Jones’ top five schools are the Florida State Seminoles, Ohio State Buckeyes, Florida Gators, Michigan State Spartans and Michigan Wolverines.
According to the 247 Sports composite rankings, Peoples-Jones is the No. 1 wide receiver and No. 12 player overall in the 2017 recruiting class. Peoples-Jones is currently leaning towards the Wolverines, according to the 247 Sports Crystal Ball Projection.
