Tennessee’s Jonathan Kongbo not transferring, presumably stinks at FIFA

It’s been a wild weekend surrounding the Tennesee football program.

The Vols suffered their third loss in a row, lost another stud defender to injury in Shy Tuttle, and now have learned that star running back Jalen Hurd is set to transfer.

And that doesn’t include the drama caused by sophomore defensive end Jonathan Kongbo.

Kongbo took to Twitter amidst the sh**storm of rumors and dropped an ominous tweet featuring a pair of cleats and the message, “All things must come to an end.”

Obviously, Vols fans reacted with concern.

As it turns out, this was just a fantastic troll job by Kongbo.

If you notice, those are soccer cleats. And on Monday afternoon, Vols coach Butch Jones said Kongbo’s tweet was nothing more than a message about the popular video game FIFA; presumably Kongbo had a rough stretch against his teammates or he finally had a winning streak snapped.

Way to get everyone worked up over nothing, but we think Tennessee fans will be forgiving since Kongbo is sticking around for the time being.
