Drunk Iowa fan gets arrested, thinks she’s at a different game

Iowa Hawkeyes football fans had plenty to celebrate about on Saturday night after being the No. 3 Michigan Wolverines on a last-second field goal. However, one fan got a little too carried away.

It marked the first time the Hawkeyes defeated a team in the AP top two since 1985.

One fan unfortunately did not get to enjoy the game in its fullest, because she was arrested for public intoxication before even getting into the cage.

In fact, the fan thought that she was across the state at a completely different game.

From the Iowa City police reports:

Michelle Keys, 35, of Ankeny, IA was arrested at Kinnick Stadium at 1918 hours for Public Intoxication. She had slurred speech, spoke in incoherent sentences, and believed she was in Ames, IA at the Iowa State v. Arizona football game. She had a .225 BAC.

Party on, young lady.

Iowa returns to action next weekend with a trip to Champaign to take on Illinois at Memorial Stadium.
