Mount Union’s NCAA record 112-game win streak snapped

It was a wild afternoon in Alliance, Ohio on Saturday, as two Division III schools battled it out for the 2016 OAC Championship.

When it was all said and done, D-III power Mount Union was left stunned as John Carroll celebrated the conference championship. It was John Carroll’s first Ohio Athletic Conference championship since 1989, but it also ended one of the NCAA’s most impressive streaks.

Mount Union’s lost snapped an NCAA record 112-game regular season winning streak.

John Carroll tweeted a video of its players running out onto the field after the stunning 31-28 win.

The win gives John Carroll an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament. They will learn their next opponent later today.
