Trevor Knight will start at QB for Texas A&M against LSU

Trevor Knight, who was ruled out for the season earlier this year, will start against the LSU Tigers tomorrow on Thanksgiving.

Knight sustained a shoulder injury on Nov. 5 against the Mississippi State Bulldogs, making way for junior Jake Hubenak to guide the team. Sumlin addressed the matter directly and said that Knight would “at least” be out the rest of the season, possibly missing the bowl game as well.

Knight, a senior graduate-transfer, expressed interest in playing if the doctors cleared him to do so.

It appears as if they have done just that.

Hubenak will sit this week and Knight will resume his duties taking the snaps during the game. Hubenak played last week with an injured shoulder and will not be available for the game against LSU.

The other quarterbacks on the team are Nick Starkel, a true freshman that A&M intends to have redshirted, and former walk-on Connor McQueen.

Both would be available as replacements should Knight re-aggravate his shoulder.
