Tom Herman will be the next coach the of the Texas Longhorns, leaving the Houston Cougars a far more competitive program than when he arrived.
The school acknowledged Herman’s departure in a statement released earlier today.

Houston defensive coordinator Todd Orlando is expected to coach the team in their bowl game.
The statement says that the search for a new head coach will begin immediately. Surely Houston is a more appealing prospect to the next coach than it was to Herman when he signed on to coach the Cougars.
