Jim Harbaugh is a passionate coach who can often be found wearing his emotions on his sleeves.
With the stakes as high as they are in this year’s edition of “The Game,” it’s no surprised Harbaugh is extra amped up. However, the referees thought he was maybe too amped up and hit him with a penalty after throwing his play sheet in the air and his headset to the ground.
Harbaugh was hit with a penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct. While it appears that Harbaugh was more upset with his lineman for jumping offsides than the actual call, it was a moot point as far as the officials were concerned.
The combination of penalties hurt, too.
Ohio State advanced to the three-yard line as a result, allowing Ohio State running back Mike Weber to jump over the pile for the first offensive Buckeye touchdown of the game.
Both coaches have played aggressively and are taking chances on fourth down; doing anything they can to spark their team to victory.
