2016 FWAA All-American Team roster announced

The Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) All-American Team is the second oldest, continuously publicized list of its kind, and highly sought after by the players hoping to make the cut.

Well, the list is out, and no surprise, Alabama is the most represented team.

The No. 1 ranked Crimson Tide have four players on the team, the rest of the SEC combined for as many. The SEC’s total of eight players is the most, followed by ACC (5), PAC-12 (5), Big Ten (3), Big 12 (3) and MAC (2).

Comprised of mostly juniors and seniors, seven sophomores dot the list; with Lamar Jackson headlining as quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner. A notable appearance on the list of second-team member is Stanford Cardinal running back Christian McCaffery, who had a bounce back second half of the season after getting off to a slow start.

Pre-season All-American and Heisman hopeful Deshaun Watson failed to make either list.
