The UGA football program pulled off a major haul on Friday, landing five-star offensive lineman Isaiah Wilson, who was expected to land with the Michigan Wolverines for much of the recruiting process.
Wilson, the No. 1 player in the state of New York and the No. 7-ranked offensive tackle in the nation, announced his commitment to the Bulldogs on Twitter.
“I am extremely happy to announce my recruitment is over and I am now 100% committed to The University of Georgia,” Wilson wrote.

Wilson is the latest addition to an incredible Georgia recruiting class that has five offensive lineman rated as four- or five-star players. The Bulldogs have the No. 3 2017 recruiting class in the nation.
TheĀ 6-foot-7, 350 pound Poly Prep standout chose the Bulldogs over Michigan, Alabama, LSU and USC.
Kirby Smart has to be feeling much better after a disappointing 2016 campaign.
