Jessica Andrade pulled from UFC 207

The Ultimate Fighting Championship was forced to make a last-minute change to the UFC 207 fight card on Wednesday, after failing to find a late replacement to face off against No. 5-ranked strawweight contender Jessica Andrade.

According to MMAjunkie.com, Andrade had been in Las Vegas since Monday in hopes of finding a new opponent, but after failing to find an opponent who makes sense, the Brazilian has been pulled from the card.

Replacing Andrade on the pay-per-view portion of the card will be a flyweight bout between Louis Smolka and Ray Borg.

There is no word on when Andrade will be re-booked.

Initially, Andrade was set to fight Maryna Moroz and then Angela Hill, but those bouts fell threw after her opponents were forced to withdraw for various reasons.

Andrade is currently riding a two-fight winning streak since dropping to 115-pounds, including a second-round TKO victory over Jessica Penne and a first-round submission of Joanne Calderwood.

UFC 207 is set to take place on Friday, Dec. 30 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The event is headlined by a women’s championship matchup between current title holder Amanda Nunes and former champ Ronda Rousey, who is set to make her highly-anticipated return to the Octagon after losing the title last November.
