The UGA offense struggled to get off the ground early in the Liberty Bowl, falling behind to TCU.
Because of the poor performance from the Bulldogs throughout the 2016 campaign — which included the third-worst total offense in the SEC — fans wasted no time calling for the head of offensive coordinator Jim Chaney.
One of the people calling for the assistant to be fired was R.E.M. singer and a UGA grad Mike Mills.
Mills took to Twitter to call for Chaney’s firing immediately.
Fire Jim Chaney. Now. During the game. #DAWGSvsFROGS

The good news for the Bulldogs is that they have been able to regroup and make the game competitive.
Midway through the third quarter, Georgia trails the Horned Frogs by just two points, 16-14.
The game — which is taking place at Liberty Bowl Memorial in Memphis, Tennessee — is currently airing on ESPN.
