ESPN’s Chris Berman to step down from hosting duties after Super Bowl

According to reports, ESPN’s Chris Berman will step down as the host of “NFL Sunday Countdown” following the conclusion of this year’s Super Bowl.

Berman will reportedly be accepting a reduced role with the network.

The longtime host will continue to host ESPN’s NFL PrimeTime highlights show, while also making fewer on-air appearances and serving “in public-facing roles on behalf of the company,” according to an ESPN release.

Berman has been ESPN’s primary NFL host for 31 years.
