Before accepting the Cincinnati head coaching job, Luke Fickell has been with the Ohio State football program since 1999, outside of a two-year stint in Akron.

Most recently, Fickell served as the team’s co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach.

In order to thank Fickell for his 15 years on the staff before he heads out to lead the Cincinnati Bearcats, the Buckeyes took out a full-page ad in the Cincinnati Enquirer to wish him well on the next part of his journey.

Fickell certainly knows what success feels like, having won a national title with Ohio State, so it will be interesting to see how he fares in Cincinnati. You know Bearcats fans must be excited.
