Dana White offers Floyd Mayweather $25 million to fight McGregor

ppv

On Friday, UFC president Dana White discussed the possibility of a Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor fight.

There is no denying Mayweather and McGregor are the two biggest names in combat sports and they have been going back-and-forth in the media for months.

According to White, Mayweather has yet to make an official offer for a fight, so he took it upon himself to make the first offer.

White appeared on The Herd with Colin Cowherd and offered Mayweather and McGregor $25 million a piece to fight, along with a negotiation for a pay-per-view split.

While the offer will certainly get headlines, let’s not get carried away.

Floyd Mayweather wouldn’t even get out of bed for $25 million at this point in his career and it certainly is nowhere near close enough to the ballpark it would take for him to come out of retirement.

Mayweather and McGregor are both savvy enough businessmen to know they could promote this fight on their own.

Sure, there would be legal hurdles, but if Mayweather and McGregor were to ever face off, it wouldn’t be for a lowball offer when they could put much more cash in their pockets. by exploring other options.
