With the university in search of a replacement for Dave Hart who announced his retirement earlier this year, a familiar face has risen to the top of the list of potential suitors.
Phillip Fulmer might be making a triumphant return to the Tennessee Volunteers.
Per ESPN, former #Vols' HC Phillip Fulmer is a prime candidate to be Tennessee's next athletic director.

After 17 years as head coach of the Volunteers, Fulmer was fired in 2008 after going 5-7 and suffering his second losing season in five years and never climbing higher than no. 18 in the country in his final season as coach. Tennessee has not had a 10-win season since he was fired as head coach, and has finished over .500 only four times.
With a track record like that, it’s no wonder the team wants to bring him back into the fold.
Tennessee had an up and down year last year, winning several games in dramatic comebacks before ultimately flaming out at the end of the season. They return breakout running back Jalen Hurd, but will need to find a replacement for veteran quarterback Joshua Dobbs, who was a graduating senior this season.
