UF bass fishing team gets launched from boat in insane video

Two members of the University of Florida bass fishing team — Hunter Bland and Conner Young  — received the scare of a lifetime.

In a video released earlier this week, you can see the two men viciously ejected from their boat. According to the video description, the boat was traveling at approximately 57 miles per hour when part of its steering system failed.

Miraculously, neither of the young men were injured thanks to life jackets and a kill switch that immediately stopped the boat.

The two men can be heard talking immediately after the incident as they tried to gather themselves. They were clearly shaken up, but able to get back on the boat before help arrived.

What a terrifying moment. We’re glad to hear that Hunter and Conner are okay. And let this be a valuable lesson on the importance of safety equipment when you’re out on the water.
