Disgraced former Baylor University president Ken Starr could be joining the Donald Trump Administration.
According to a report by Foreign Policy magazine, Starr is being strongly considered for a job in the state department. The specific job Starr is expected to take is ambassador-at-large for international religious freedom.
Starr is known as a strong Christian conservative, despite being ousted from his position at Baylor for his role in the sexual assault scandal on campus which detailed cover ups of rape.
Baylor is reportedly looking into 125 reports of sexual assault or harassment on campus from 2011 to 2015.
Should we really be surprised Trump is considering such a controversial figure for his administration, though? Short answer: no. Long answer: Absolutely not. This is just the norm under President Trump.
If you want to know why Trump would like Starr, it is likely because as a former judge he prosecuted Bill Clinton for his sexual activities which led to the president’s impeachment.
