Missing Saint Louis Bus Driver Arrested For DWI

The driver of the Saint Louis basketball team’s bus which went AWOL and left the players stranded has been arrested for DWI.

The bus never showed up following Saint Louis’ loss to St. Bonaventure on Wednesday. The driver, Linda Edminster, was arrested 35 miles from where the game was played after police gave her a field sobriety test when they smelled alcohol.

Edminster had a .22 blood alcohol content.

“When troopers were interviewing her, they smelled the smell of alcohol,” state trooper James O’Callaghan told Myron Medcalf of ESPN. “Is it unusual? Yes. Typically the bus would have been stolen but not the driver arrested for being intoxicated.”

The good news is the players were able to retrieve their belongings from the bus and they probably are happy they weren’t picked up by a drunk driver.
