Auburn Football: Larry Porter, Former Memphis HC, Joins Staff

The Auburn football program has added a highly respected recruiter to its staff.
On Saturday morning, Rivals.com reported former Memphis head coach Larry Porter, who most recently served as North Carolina running backs and special teams coach, will be joining the Tigers’ staff as a full-time assistant.
There is no word on what Porter’s official role will be.
Along with his time at Memphis and North Carolina, Porter served under Les Miles at LSU for five seasons. It was during that time that he earned his reputation as a strong recruiter, as Rivals.com notes he was their National Recruiter of the Year two times.
The 44-year-old Porter has also been an assistant at Texas, Arizona State, Oklahoma State, Arkansas State and Tennessee-Martin.
