On Wednesday night, NC State once again suffered a loss by more than 20 points.
The Wolfpack were run out of the gym by North Carolina, and after the game Tar Heels guard Joel Berry had an interesting take on why NC State has been struggling.
According to Berry, the Wolfpack simply didn’t care and had zero team chemistry.
“Guys didn’t know where to be, guys were doing their own thing and didn’t care,” Berry said, via Adam Smith of the Burlington Times-News.
“I wish their program good luck in whatever they’re doing, but you could sense there wasn’t any team chemistry.”
With comments like that, it’s not a surprise that Wolfpack coach Mark Gottfried is fighting to keep his job. Losing by 20 points in three straight games doesn’t really help, either.
North Carolina State, currently on a six-game losing streak, sits at 14-13 on the season and returns to action on Saturday against Notre Dame.
If the Wolfpack don’t come away victorious, Gottfried likely will be in the unemployment line.
