AFC Scout Compares Mitch Trubisky To Carson Wentz

North Carolina’s Mitch Trubisky is earning rave reviews ahead of the NFL Combine.
Many expect Trubisky to be one of the first quarterbacks off the board in an relatively weak draft class. With size, athleticism and a strong throwing arm, he could very well be the first player taken overall.
Trubisky has drawn comparisons from a wide array of quarterbacks, from Trent Green to Alex Smith. Now, likely because of where he was taken in last year’s draft, Carson Wentz. Wentz was taken in second overall by the Eagles last season and started every game. He led the team to a 7-9 finish in his first season and showed flashes that has everyone in the city of brotherly love buzzing.
Many feel that Trubisky is capable of doing the same thing in either Cleveland or San Francisco, who hold the top two picks.
The Browns, who are in desperate need of a quarterback, are self-sabatoge masters and could go elsewhere with the first overall pick. However, quality starters exist beyond Trubisky in this draft and they might look to Deshaun Watson or DeShone Kizer later in the first round with the No. 12 pick.
