As former Oklahoma running back Joe Mixon continues to attempt to rehabilitate his image and prepare for the NFL, he is set to host a football camp in March.
Mixon is calling on some very familiar names to help his cause, including one of the most popular NFL running backs in recent memory.
On Friday, Mixon announced he will be hosting the inaugural Football L.I.F.E. Camp on March 25.
Tickets are available for $40.
The camp will feature “Beast Mode” Marshawn Lynch and C.J. Anderson, along with “other NFL players.”
Mixon announced his first annual camp on social media.
Here’s what you can expect from the camp, according to the official website:
“There is more to life than football, but for Joe and many others, the football field has been a classroom. It is a classroom not only for LEARNING and IMPROVING, but also for building and connecting to FAMILY, and for sharing transformative EXPERIENCES.”
After not being invited to the NFL Scouting Combine because of his violent past which includes striking a woman in his first year on campus and breaking several bones in her face, it’s clear Mixon is trying to put a more positive image forward as he prepares for the next step of his life and career.
