VIDEO: Soccer Player Francis Kone Saves Opponent's Life After Scary Collision

Francis Kone, a soccer player for Czech club Slovacko, is in the headlines for a heroic effort over the weekend.
During a game against Bohemians, goalkeeper Martin Borkovec and teammate Daniel Krch had a gnarly collision which led to Borkovec landing on his back while unconscious.
That’s when Kone came in to save the day.
According to reports, Kone immediately rushed to Borkovec’s aid and stopped the goalkeeper from swallowing his tongue. The swift action allowed Borkovec to breathe freely.
Perhaps the craziest part in all of this is that Kone said it was not the first time he had rushed to save an opponent.
“It wasn’t the first time I have done that. It’s something like the fourth time. Twice in Africa, once in Thailand,” Kone told Czech media.
“I immediately checked to see if he had swallowed his tongue.”

After the game, Berkovec thanked Kone for saving his life.
“I would like to thank Francis Kone for his quick action in saving me during today’s match,” the goalkeeper wrote on his Facebook page. “I am grateful for the prompt help, and once again THANK YOU!!!”
The game ended in a scoreless draw.
