UConn's Obi Melifonwu Is Putting On A Show At NFL Combine

UConn defensive back Obi Melifonwu is having himself a day.
During the final day of on-field drills, Melifonwu has been blowing away scouts with his incredible numbers. At 6-foot-4, 224 pounds, the cornerback/safety prospect is certainly making himself some money and could find himself catapulted into the first-round discussion like fellow former Huskies defensive back Byron Jones back in 2015.
It all started when Melifonwu showed off his explosion in the vertical and broad jumps.
Melifonwu recorded an 11-foot-9 broad jump, the second-best among defensive backs at the Combine since 2006. Jones has the record with a distance of 12-foot-3.

That wasn’t the only standout number from Melifonwu.
He also recorded a 44-inch vertical.

But how did that explosion translate to the 40-yard dash? Melifonwu clocked in unofficially at 4.46.

That’s how you take advantage of the platform you’re given to showcase your skills at the Combine.
Get that money, kid!
