CMU’s Marcus Keene Declares For 2017 NBA Draft

CMU basketball star Marcus Keene is set to take his talents to the next level.

On Tuesday, Central Michigan announced the nation’s leading scorer would be forgoing his final collegiate eligibility to declare for the 2017 NBA Draft. The Chippewas issued a release on the matter.

“We appreciate Marcus for his time at Central Michigan,” head coach Keno Davis said in a statement.

“The influence Marcus has had will impact the program positively for years to come. We wish Marcus the best as he pursues his dream of playing professional basketball. He will have a great number of fans and supporters, many of which wear the Maroon and Gold.”

Despite standing at 5-foot-9, Keene averaged 30 points per game.
