WKU Basketball: Justin Johnson Joining Football Team

WKU basketball star Justin Johnson is going to attempt to find success in a different sport.
According to reports, the Western Kentucky standout is joining the football team as a tight end. The Bowling Green Daily News states Johnson will practice with the Hilltoppers for the remainder of spring.
Johnson, a 6-foot-7 junior forward, averaged 14.5 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game last season.
Johnson has not played football since high school, but he did have interest from Kentucky and Louisville as a tight end as a recruit. He ultimately chose the hardwood over the gridiron.
We have seen plenty of former basketball stars make successful transitions to football, so could Johnson become the latest?
Only time will tell, but you can never be upset with a kid for following his dreams.
