We might be entering a difficult to maneuver era in the world of professional fighting. After Conor McGregor challenged Floyd Mayweather to a fight that appears more and more likely to happen, fighters have grown more comfortable to publicly request a fight regardless of style or fighter status.
With comments that were first made on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, WWE superstar Baron Corbin wants a piece of Conor McGregor.
When referring to the UFC lightweight champion, Corbin, a former NFL offensive lineman and professional boxer, said that he would “like to slam him on [McGregor’s] head a few times.”
Corbin likely didn’t take kindly to the comments that McGregor made which suggested that WWE wrestlers couldn’t hold their own in an actual fight. While Corbin referred to Mayweather as a professional fighter, he said McGregor was “165 pounds, soaking wet and a professional at running his mouth.”
If McGregor vs. Mayweather was a longshot, McGregor vs. Corbin is a cross-court shot-put.
