Florida Football: Gators Interested In Malik Zaire

The Florida football program is the latest to show interest in graduate transfer Malik Zaire.
According to a report from Gator Bait, the Gators and the former Notre Dame signal-caller have mutual interest. However, in order for Zaire to land with Florida, SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey would have to step in and grant a special waiver.
Florida is currently ineligible to taking on graduate transfers for three years after two players previously failed to meet the university’s academic standards upon arrival.
Zaire also has interest from Wisconsin, North Carolina and Texas.
Whenever he ultimately lands at his new home, Zaire will be immediately eligible to take the field.
During his time with the Fighting Irish, Zaire threw for 816 yards and six touchdowns.
