5-Star Recruit Kevin Knox Turns Down $1.4M Offer, Will Play In College

One of the top recruits in the nation will be heading to college, despite an offer to play professionally in China.
Five-star small forward Kevin Knox received a $1.4 million offer to play overseas, but he never seriously considered the offer because of his desire to play at the college level, his father told the Tampa Bay Times
“I didn’t put much stock into the offer,” said his father. “We politely said thanks but no thanks. He’s going to college.”
Knox is set to choose between the North Carolina Tar Heels, Duke Blue Devils and Kentucky Wildcats, your traditional college basketball powerhouses.
And according to 247 Sports, Duke is the heavy favorite to land the 6-foot-8 bluechip prospect.
Knox was ranked by the recruiting website as the No. 2 small forward in the nation and the No. 3 player in the state of Florida. Nationally, Knox is the eighth-ranked player.
Whoever lands Knox will be getting an incredibly talented player for at least one year, before he heads off and finally cashes in on those millions.
