Jacare Souza Signs New 8-Fight Deal With UFC

Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza was set to be a free agent following his fight against Robert Whittaker at UFC on FOX 24 Saturday night, but he will not be hitting the open market.

On Friday, UFC president Dana White took to social media to share a photo of Jacare with a fresh new eight-fight contract.

“He’s one of the best middleweights in the world and has the potential to be a world champion, so he belongs in the UFC,” White told MMAjunkie.com. “I am pumped to see him fight another potential title holder in Whittaker on Saturday.”

As you would expect, Jacare was happy to celebrate his new deal.

UFC on FOX 24 takes place Saturday night in Kansas City. His fight against Whittaker takes place on the main card which will begin at 8 p.m. ET.
