Baylor Football: Jalen Hurd Transfers To Bears

Former Tennessee running back Jalen Hurd is joining the Baylor football program.
On Saturday, the Volunteers transfer announced he has decided the Bears will be his new home. Hurd chose Baylor over schools like Cal, Louisville and Ohio State.
The official announcement came with an artistic photo on Twitter that revealed the name of his new school.

Hurd will not be eligible to play for the Bears next season. Instead, he will have to sit out all of 2017 before suiting up for Baylor during the 2018 college football season to finish off his career.
With the year off, it will give Hurd time to learn a new position because he has previously stated he is considering a move to tight end.
During his three seasons with the Volunteers, Hurd rushed for 2,638 yards and 20 touchdowns. His most successful season was his sophomore campaign when the 6-foot-4, 240-pound bruising back rushed for 1,288 yards and 12 scores.
