LSU Football: Danny Etling Undergoes 'Minor Back Procedure'

LSU football coach Ed Orgeron announced on Monday that quarterback Danny Etling underwent a minor procedure on his back. Etling is competing for the team’s starting job and was receiving a bulk of the first-team reps.
“Danny had a minor back procedure this morning and everything came out alright,” Orgeron said, via Ross Dellenger of The Advocate.
Etling struggled over the weekend during the team’s Spring Game, so you have to wonder if the injury played a factor.
The 6-foot-1, 215-pound senior finished the Spring Game 4-for-11 for 53 yards.
Last season, Etling started in ten games. Etling was forced to miss the 2015 season after transferring from Purdue, before suiting up for the Tigers in 2016 and throwing for 2,123 yards, 11 touchdowns and five interceptions.
