Texas Football Lands Another Oklahoma Talent In 4-Star DE Ron Tatum

Texas football coach Tom Herman continues his assault on the state of Oklahoma.

Shortly after receiving commitments from quarterbacks Casey Thompson and Cameron Rising, both from Oklahoma, four-star defensive end Ron Tatum announced his intent to become a member of Hook Em’ nation when he is done playing high school football.

While Tatum has only committed verbally at this point, it stands as another boon for Herman in his short time as coach of the Longhorns.

Tatum joins a recruiting class that currently stands at No. 15 in the country, and first in the Big 12.

As always, these commitments are to be taken with a grain of salt. There is an entire football season to be played before commits are faced to make their final decision.

For now, Texas is celebrating. But don’t expect a coach like Tom Herman to rest on his laurels.
