DeShone Kizer was disappointed that he was not selected in the first-round of the 2017 NFL Draft, but it doesn’t look like he will be waiting long before hearing his name called on Day 2 Friday night.
According to a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, teams have been calling the Green Bay Packers about a potential trade for the No. 33 overall pick with Kizer in mind.
Once regarded as a potential first-round pick, Kizer is still available after only three quarterbacks were selected on Day 1 in Philadelphia — Mitch Trubisky of North Carolina, Texas Tech’s Patrick Mahomes and national champion Deshaun Watson of Clemson.
An interesting name in play at No. 33 for the #Packers: #NotreDame QB DeShone Kizer. GB is getting trade calls, but could stick and pick.
