Illinois Football Player Charged With Home Invasion, Armed Robbery

Illinois football player Darta Lee is in trouble with the law.
Early Wednesday morning, Scout.com reported the sophomore offensive lineman was arrested and booked on charges of home invasion and armed robbery.
Lee was booked into the Champaign County Jail.
There are very few details regarding the incident that led to his arrest, with an Illinois spokesperson saying it is too soon to comment.
Last season as a true freshman, Lee played in six games. He was expected to once again compete for a starting job this year, after earning two starts in 2016. Of course, his arrest and subsequent charges could derail his hopes of returning to the starting lineup whenever punishment is announced.
Lee was a three-star recruit out of Hightower High School in MIssouri City, Texas.
