Ed Orgeron is starting to get a reputation. Worse still, that reputation has a nickname: “Paranoid Ed.”
On Thursday, Division III coach Hal Mumme accused Ed Orgeron on 99.1 The Game of pressuring him to shut down his camp. It is the third camp that has been cancelled in Louisiana in the last few weeks.
.@HalMumme "Apparently, nobody in the rest of America can recruit from the state of Louisiana because of paranoid @Coach_EdOrgeron."

Mumme coaches at Belhaven, who was holding a showcase that a number of schools were expected to attend.
The list included both LSU and Texas. Orgeron is being accused of coercing Mumme into to shutting down the camp as a way of sabotaging the Longhorns recruiting efforts.
“The kids that got hurt are not the kids LSU and Texas are going to recruit,” said Mumme, during the same interview.
For a low-budget program like Belhaven, the $5,000 that canceling the camp cost them is a considerable sum wasted. Today’s interview marked the second straight day that Mumme has had strong words for LSU coach Ed Orgeron.
It remains to be seen if the NCAA will be taking any action as a result of Mumme’s complaint. Even if they don’t “paranoid Ed” is a catchy enough moniker to haunt the Tigers coach.
